TRAVELOGUE
THE TRIO COME OF AGE!
26 April 2015
Greetings again, most honored reader, and wel-cToerrnnentcoTannoofther installment of the Saga of the Terrific Trio!
Things are heating up now, aren’t they? First, the kids knock out a platoon of Grocs in short order and without breaking a sweat-and that was just an appetizer! Then they scare away the Thinker’s crack Stone-Men Praetorian Guard, and now they even have one of the most powerful neighborhood wizards backpedaling!
It appears that the kids are beginning to master their newfound power. Before their reincarnations into a Dwarf, Elf, and Swamp-Man, our Terrific Trio (as humans), weren’t exactly slouches in the adven-turing business, yet all the same, as you say on your planet, they weren’t really ready for “prime time” either. Sure, Bryan and Seth were strong; Nikki was brave, etc. etc. But against the death blasters of the Demagogue, they came up short-very short! But now?
Novv Nikki is so excited she even had to blurt, “I used to be so afraid of Grocs! But this was easy!’, Yes, indeed, my young friends, you’ve come a long way. As I pointed out long ago ( HERE to be exact), the kids are now in their transformed bodies and quite powerful. Bryan’s strength alone rivals that of your world’s strongest men, and he is far tougher. And Seth’s strength is simply superhuman, while Nikki has a latent talent for magic she has yet to even really begin to tap.
But just what is the game the wily old Thinker is playing here? First, he summons the three with an enigmatic note that portrays him as the captor of Darya and Lucretius; then he deliberately orders his Stone-Men to “take no hostile action” against the Trio, and now he himself appears swearing that he means them “no harrn.” Is he their friend, enemy, or is he a “frenemy?” As I mentioned before, the workings of the Thinker’s mind are complex and byzantine. But just what is his plan here?
Perhaps we’ll had out more from him next week-if he can survive the onslaught of the Trio! Until then, most honored reader, may your week be a wondrous one!
With Cognescentii blessings!
