THE TREACHERY OF THE NOSFERATU (PART II) or 1,246-YEAR-OLD VAMPIRE SEEKING LIVING MALE OR FEMALE FOR BLOOD, TORTURE, AND GOOD TIME!
4 July 2015
Greetings, most honored reader, to yet another transmission of the Tales of the Traveller as narrate our ongoing Saga of the Terrific Trio,
Sigh…there he is again, Gelmut, our former patent attorney cum vampire, sparring over contracts again, just like he used to do in his practice as a human back in the Duchy of Rossiya. I guess you can take the vampire out of the legal practice but you can’t take the legal practice out of the vampire. On Tuesday we saw how he quibbled over whether he and Anasha used the singular or plural in de-scribing who could win “eternal freedom.” An A-hole to the end, our Gelmut.
We all know, however, that this is just how Gelmut amuses himself. He could really care less if he really said “winner” or “winners.” He holds all the cards and is going to do what he wants in the end anyhow. In my earlier transmission titled, “Gelmut: Sorry, Goppo, No Untermenschen Allowed in the Hallowed Halls of the Supermen,” as seen HERE we discussed the treachery of these two vampires in dealing with poor little Goppo. He just didn’t have what they wanted to be allowed into the ranks of the Nosferatu. Thus, he was summarily executed on the spot. Now, we really have two genuine super-men (or, to be more precise, one “superman” and one “superwoman”)-Lucretius and Darya-and Gelmut is angling to get both of them into their vampiric ranks. Remember: the Nosferatu is the ultimate Darwinian Fitness Club, and getting a bona fide Bather of the Waters of Ualami (a very rare breed indeed) and one of the First Peoples into the Nosferatu would definitely strengthen their hand.
Most disturbing, however, is the glee, the pure delight, glimmering from Gelmut’s and Anasha’s eyes as they sip on their blood wine, drool dripping from their jowls, and present this most terrible of dilemmas to our two heroes. Indeed, with what else do these two demons have to amuse themselves over the millennia? Sure, they can always revel in the hunt for quarry, for blood, but to really pass away the time, vampires just love to torture, to corrupt, to spoil, and to destroy the joys and lives of the living. I can’t tell you how much I dreaded having to have any contact with these monsters during my time on the Wyrld. And as difficult as it may be to believe, Gelmut and Anasha were a couple of the “nicer” ones!
As they say, however, “Love conquers all.” And the love that has grown between the Bather of Ualami, the Man of Ba-Atum, and Darya of the First Peoples has been tempered in the fires of Nosferatian cap-tivity. They will do everything in their power to spare one another this eternal hell-life as a vam-pire. Meanwhile, Gelmut and Anasha get to sip on their blood wine and enjoy the show. Which of our heroes will win?
Please join me next time, most honored reader, to find out! Until then, may your life be filled vvith-
